WASHINGTON—Treasury Department Federal Credit Union has named Nicholas Moreland president and CEO, effective June 12, following less than a year as the credit union’s chief operations officer.
Moreland joined TDFCU in August 2025 after a career that included leadership positions with PNC Bank and Signal Financial Federal Credit Union. Prior to joining the $--- credit union, he served as vice president of member experience and retail banking at Signal Financial FCU and previously held senior sales, service and regional management roles with PNC in the Washington market.
In announcing the appointment, TDFCU’s board said Moreland had demonstrated a vision for enhancing operational effectiveness, pursuing strategic growth and maintaining the credit union’s commitment to member service.
“The Board is confident that his leadership, commitment to our members, and focus on operational excellence position TDFCU well for its next chapter,” the board said.
“It is a privilege to step into the CEO role at Treasury Department Federal Credit Union after serving as COO,” Moreland said in a statement.
He added that the credit union will remain focused on putting members first while pursuing sustainable growth and delivering long-term value. Under his leadership, TDFCU said it will continue emphasizing member experience, employee development and operational excellence.
