CFPB Overhaul Clearing House Panel Would Raise CU Supervision Threshold To $30B
By CU Today Staff —
WASHINGTON—A sweeping package of CFPB reforms that would raise the Bureau’s credit union supervision threshold to $30 billion and subject the agency to congressional appropriations advanced Wednesday as the House Financial Services Committee approved several bills backed by the credit union industry.
America’s Credit Unions noted that it encouraged HFSC members to support the bills in a letter sent prior to the markup.
