Hawaii Central FCU Names Gary Nakata President

HONOLULU—Hawaii Central Federal Credit Union has named Gary Nakata as its president.
Nakata joined the $300-million Hawaii Central FCU in 2019 as controller and was later promoted to executive vice president.
The credit union said Nakata has played a key role in financial management, strategic planning and operational growth.
“Gary has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to our members and employees,” Board Chairman Neil Shimogawa said. “The board is confident that under his leadership, the credit union will continue to thrive and build upon its strong foundation.”
“I am honored to serve as President of Hawaii Central Federal Credit Union,” said Nakata. “I look forward to working with our employees, volunteers, and members as we continue serving our communities and helping our members achieve financial success.”
