PHILADELPHIA--Credit union executives from across the region gathered at American Heritage Federal Credit Union on Aug. 11 for a collaborative Roundtable hosted by the National Association of Credit Union Service Organizations (NACUSO).
The event brought together CEOs and senior leaders for a day of candid discussion, education, and collaboration centered on how Credit Union Service Organizations (CUSOs) can help strengthen the credit union movement and better serve members.
The program opened with an update from NACUSO President and CEO Randy Salser, who shared the association's advocacy priorities and highlighted the growing role CUSOs play in helping credit unions innovate, scale services, and remain competitive in an increasingly complex financial services landscape.
"Our industry has always been strongest when we work together," said Salser. "The conversations throughout the day reinforced that collaboration is not just a competitive advantage—it's part of the credit union DNA. CUSOs give credit unions the ability to solve challenges collectively, accelerate innovation, and ultimately improve the financial well-being of the members we serve."
Industry experts contributed perspectives across several key topics, including:
A facilitated executive networking lunch provided attendees with the opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss strategic priorities, and share practical experiences with peers in an open, collaborative setting.
"The willingness of executives to openly share challenges, successes, and ideas is what makes these roundtables so valuable," Salser added. "Every participant left with new perspectives, stronger industry relationships, and actionable insights they can bring back to their organizations."
NACUSO thanked American Heritage Federal Credit Union for hosting the event and the presenters for sharing their expertise.
“A special thank you to Mark Ritter for his leadership and partnership in helping bring this roundtable to life. From the earliest planning discussions through the execution of the event, Mark played an instrumental role in shaping the program, engaging speakers, and ensuring a meaningful experience for every attendee," Salser added.
Salser said NACUSO plans to continue expanding its regional roundtable program as part of its commitment to advancing collaboration, education, and innovation throughout the credit union ecosystem.
