Drive-Thru Disaster: Fleeing Suspect Slams Pickup Into Credit Union, Escapes On Foot

ROCK ISLAND, Ill.—A man fleeing a traffic stop crashed his pickup truck into the drive-thru of a credit union Friday morning before abandoning the vehicle and escaping on foot, according to KWQC.
KWQC reported Rock Island police said 41-year-old Michael Lindquist attempted to avoid officers by turning into an alley shortly after 8:30 a.m. He then allegedly sped into the drive-thru of Gas and Electric Credit Union on 4th Avenue, where his white Chevrolet Silverado crashed directly into the building, causing significant damage.
According to KWQC, Lindquist abandoned the pickup nearby and fled on foot. Police said he was last seen wearing a gray tank top, black shorts and a red hat.
KWQC reported Lindquist faces pending charges of fleeing police and leaving the scene of an accident. Police also said he is wanted on an outstanding Scott County warrant for a probation violation.
