AI Agents Are Starting To Spend Money—OSL Builds The Payment Rails

By CU Today Staff —

HONG KONG--OSL Group has launched a stablecoin payment infrastructure designed to allow artificial intelligence agents to autonomously execute payments, as financial services companies increasingly prepare for the emergence of so-called agentic commerce, GlobalData reported.

According to GlobalData, the new OSL AgentPay is aimed at “high-frequency, micro-value” payments between AI agents and will support stablecoins including USDT, USDC and USDGO. The platform will also support payment protocols including x402, AP2 and MPP, with developers able to integrate the service through an API. OSL said AgentPay will progressively integrate with Banxa, its fiat on- and off-ramp infrastructure provider.

“Agentic Commerce is rapidly emerging, and we are proactively embracing Agentic AI to empower the massive wave of economic activity ahead,” OSL Group Executive Director and CEO Kevin Cui said, according to GlobalData. “The core of this economic activity still relies on distribution, liquidity, and infrastructure — and that is exactly where OSL has focused its strengths. We will enable global capital to flow freely through AI agents, the connective tissue of tomorrow's society.”

GlobalData reported OSL believes stablecoins will become a base-layer asset for commerce conducted by AI agents, with AgentPay initially working with developers across Asia before targeting opportunities with global enterprises. The launch follows OSL Group's $200-million equity financing in January, which the company said would strengthen its financial position.
