Visa Adds AR Automation Tools To Commercial Hub In Virtual Card Push

SAN FRANCISCO—Visa is expanding its Commercial Solutions Hub as the payments giant pushes to accelerate adoption of virtual cards among financial institutions, suppliers and corporate clients by reducing many of the operational hurdles that have historically slowed broader use of the technology.
Visa said the latest expansion integrates its Visa Accounts Receivable Manager directly into the Visa Commercial Solutions Hub, giving eligible issuers access to a single platform designed to automate virtual card processing, supplier enablement and payment reconciliation. The company said the goal is to simplify the complexity involved in scaling commercial card programs while helping issuers bring new payment capabilities to market faster.
According to Visa, the integrated platform is now available in 69 geographies and uses AI-driven automation to streamline the exchange of payment, invoice and remittance data between issuers and suppliers. Visa said the system is designed to reduce manual reconciliation work, shorten payment cycles and improve working capital visibility for suppliers receiving virtual card payments.
The move comes as Visa and other payment providers continue betting heavily on growth in virtual commercial payments and broader B2B payment digitization. Visa has previously cited research projecting global virtual card transaction volumes could climb sharply over the next several years as businesses seek more automated, secure and data-rich payment tools. Visa launched the Commercial Solutions Hub in pilot form in 2024 as part of a broader effort to create a centralized ecosystem for commercial payments, supplier payments and fintech integrations.
