UT Federal CU Signs Five-Year Partnership With Pellissippi State

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.—The $550-million UT Federal Credit Union has entered into a five-year partnership with Pellissippi State Community College that makes the credit union the official partner of Panther Athletics and will extend its involvement into scholarships, financial education and other campus programs, the CU announced.
The agreement, described by the CU as the first of its kind among community colleges in Tennessee’s public higher education system, was formally launched during a Signing Day event at the college’s Hardin Valley Campus.
UTFCU’s investment will support athletic programs, team travel, uniforms and facility improvements, while also providing scholarships and supporting fundraising through the Pellissippi State Foundation.
“As you move forward in your lives, it's important to have partners, colleagues, and friends who are aligned with you in terms of mission, and I think that's absolutely true with UT Federal Credit Union,” said L. Anthony Wise Jr., Pellissippi State’s president. “Their commitment is to serving the community just like our commitment is to serving in the community."

We'll bring that commitment to life through financial education, scholarships, campus engagement, internship opportunities, athletics, financial services, and even more.”
The partnership will also put the credit union’s name on a new soccer facility, UT Federal Credit Union Field. Warren also named men’s soccer player Yahir Pacheco the inaugural UT Federal Credit Union Student Athlete of the Month, an honor recognizing performance in competition and the classroom.
