WASHINGTON, D.C. — In primary elections across three states Tuesday, five Congressional candidates backed by America’s Credit Unions PAC won their party nomination and advanced to November’s General Election. This includes a victory for a candidate running in an open seat, ACU reported.
“Electing a pro-credit union Congress is critical to the credit union movement and is the central mission of America’s Credit Unions PAC. With this additional group of champions advancing, our success is a testament to the strength of credit unions. Credit unions continue to showcase the power of cooperative finance in districts across the country. America’s Credit Unions PAC is committed to ensuring elected officials recognize and understand the credit union difference,” said ACU Head of Political Affairs Trey Hawkins.
America’s Credit Unions’ PAC-supported candidates won in Alabama and Oklahoma. This includes current Alabama Rep. Barry Moore (R) who is running for an open seat in the Senate as current Sen. Tommy Tuberville has earned the Republican nomination for governor of Alabama.
