CMN Brings Digital Giving Directly Into Credit Union Banking

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah–Children's Miracle Network (CMN) has partnered with PayOnward and Digital Joy, two Black Dragon Capital portfolio companies, to bring a new suite of digital fundraising tools to credit unions nationwide, allowing members to donate to their local children's hospitals through digital banking channels.
The partnership will use a white-labeled digital payment platform powered by PayOnward and Digital Joy to integrate charitable giving into participating credit unions' online and mobile banking experiences. The organizations said the initiative builds on credit unions' decades-long support of CMN, which has generated millions of dollars for treatments, medical equipment, pediatric research and family support services.

"By partnering with Black Dragon Capital and its portfolio companies, we're making it easier than ever for members to support their local children's hospital through secure, seamless giving experiences integrated directly into their everyday banking. This partnership reflects our commitment to meeting donors where they are while helping credit unions strengthen relationships with the members and communities they serve.”
Among the tools being offered is Give@Login, which presents members with an opportunity to donate during online and mobile banking sessions. The platform will also support QR code-enabled donations in branches, drive-throughs and at community events, while Digital Joy Engage is designed to boost participation through interactive digital experiences.

Hernandez and Black Dragon have supported organizations serving children's hospitals and underserved communities for more than 15 years, including through Hernandez's For A Bright Future foundation, which has a longstanding relationship with CMN. CMN said the new partnership is part of its broader effort to expand digital fundraising options, increase donor participation and generate additional funding for local children's hospitals.
