NCUA Releases Agenda For Potentially Final Hauptman-Led Board Meeting
By CU Today Staff —
ALEXANDRIA, Va.—The NCUA has released the agenda for its June 24 open board meeting, which will include briefings on regulatory updates, the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund's first-quarter 2026 performance, and the agency's 2026 mid-year budget.
The June 24 session will mark the agency's first public board meeting since April 9 and could be the final open meeting chaired by NCUA Chairman Kyle Hauptman before the Senate acts on the nomination of John Crews.
Hauptman's board term expired in August 2025, but he has continued serving pending confirmation of a successor. Earlier this year, Hauptman was appointed to the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board and has said he intends to remain at NCUA until a replacement is confirmed by the Senate.
