Alloya Celebrates The Power Of Cooperation By Unveiling The Alloya Hall Of Champions

By CU Today Staff —

NAPERVILLE, Ill.—Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union has created a Hall of Champions as part of its 15th anniversary, recognizing eight credit union leaders who helped establish the corporate and have served on its board or supervisory committee throughout its history.

Founded in 2011, Alloya was established during a pivotal moment for the corporate credit union system, the corporate noted.

Alloya unveiled the Alloya Hall of Champions during its annual Credit Union Leadership Symposium, which took place in Nashville from Sept. 9-11. The Alloya Hall of Champions was created to recognize individuals whose leadership and service have helped shape Alloya and advance the corporate credit union movement. Induction is reserved for those who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to the movement and whose belief in the Power of Cooperation is "legendary," Alloya said.

Through vision, determination and a shared commitment to collaboration, a group of dedicated credit union leaders helped recapitalize the corporate that would be designed to serve the evolving needs of credit unions nationwide. Their guidance and stewardship provided the foundation for Alloya’s growth and success over the past 15 years, helping fulfill its mission of supporting credit union success and becoming more than a corporate in the process," Alloya stated.

“The story of Alloya has always been a story of people united by a shared purpose,” said Todd Adams, Alloya’s CEO. “At a pivotal moment for the corporate credit union system, these leaders stepped forward with vision, courage and an unwavering belief in the Power of Cooperation. They invested their time, talent and leadership not to build an organization for themselves, but to create something that would strengthen credit unions and serve members for generations. Their legacy lives on in every success Alloya helps make possible today.”

Those inducted into the Alloya Hall of Champions are as follows: Curt Cecala, president and CEO, TCT FCU (New York); Michael Daugherty, retired CEO, Community Plus CU (Illinois); Leanne McGuinness, CFO, The Summit FCU (New York); John Fiore, retired president and CEO, Motorola Employees CU, now known as Consumers Credit Union (Illinois); Floyd Rummel, III, retired CEO, Northern Hills FCU (South Dakota); Amy Sink, CEO, Interra CU (Indiana); Dan Stoltz, president and CEO, Blaze CU (Minnesota); and David Suvall, retired president and CEO, Rhode Island CU (Rhode Island).

“This inaugural class represents the leaders who believed in Alloya before there was a proven roadmap for success,” Adams said. “They saw the opportunity to build something different, something rooted in collaboration, service and cooperative strength. Because of their leadership and commitment, Alloya has become a trusted partner to credit unions nationwide. Today’s recognition is not simply about honoring the past but about celebrating a legacy that continues to inspire the next generation of cooperative leaders. As Alloya celebrates its first 15 years, we remain committed to carrying forward the same cooperative spirit that inspired these leaders to help build the organization from the ground up.”
