NCUA Issues Voluntary EGRPRA Review; Continues Deregulation Project

ALEXANDRIA, Va.--NCUA said Thursday it is continuing its review of agency regulations as part of the decennial process established under the Economic Growth and Regulatory Paperwork Reduction Act (EGRPRA) of 1996.
Although the agency is not statutorily required to conduct the review, the NCUA said it has chosen to participate in the process aimed at identifying outdated or unnecessary regulatory burdens.
"NCUA’s EGRPRA review will continue to inform NCUA’s Deregulation Project and future rounds of regulatory change. The agency remains committed to efficiency and reducing regulatory burden on credit unions," NCUA stated.
