By CU Today Staff —

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In primary elections across Utah, Maryland, and New York, 28 Congressional candidates backed by America’s Credit Unions PAC won their party nomination and advanced to November’s General Election. This includes victories across four open seats.

“Credit unions and their members continue to showcase the power of cooperative finance through the success of credit union champions in elections. In open-seat elections particularly, our early support can determine whether the seat is won by a credit union supporter. America’s Credit Unions PAC is proud to support credit unions at the highest levels of government and ensure decision makers keep credit union priorities top of mind," said America’s Credit Unions Head of Political Affairs Trey Hawkins.

America’s Credit Unions PAC provided an independent expenditure ad campaign on behalf of candidate Ben McAdams who prevailed in his open-seat race against three opponents. New York saw similar success with both PAC-supported candidates State Assemblymembers Micah Lasher and Robert Smullen winning their open seat races.
