Hauptman Leads America250 Celebration at NCUA Headquarters

ALEXANDRIA, Va.—The National Credit Union Administration marked the upcoming 250th anniversary of American independence by holding an America250 flag-raising ceremony at its headquarters here.
NCUA Chairman Kyle Hauptman led the ceremony, raising the America250 flag before joining agency staff in displaying a commemorative flag modeled after the original 13-star American flag. Agency officials said the event recognized the nation's enduring ideals of freedom, democracy, public service and civic engagement ahead of the 250th anniversary celebration.
"Raising the America 250 flag is an opportunity to recognize our nation's remarkable journey and the values that continue to unite us" said Hauptman. "As we approach America's 250th birthday, let’s remember the many sacrifices and achievements of those who came before us to make this great American experiment a reality. We are proud to celebrate America250 and serve this great nation."
