By CU Today Staff —
LIVE OAK, Texas — Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union has completed its merger with Oklahoma City-based True Sky Federal Credit Union, giving the $19.6-billion RBFCU its first presence in Oklahoma.
The merger became effective Oct. 1, with the combined credit union legally operating as RBFCU. The NCUA approved the combination in May, followed by approval from True Sky members in August. The combined organization serves more than 1.1 million members and is approaching $20 billion in assets.
“We started this process with a vision to combine our shared heritage in aviation and ‘people helping people’ philosophy to ensure the credit union advantage is stronger and more vibrant than ever in the Oklahoma City area,” said RBFCU President/CEO Mark Sekula. “With this merger complete, RBFCU can extend our mission to improve our members’ economic well-being and quality of life even further.”
RBFCU said it will spend the next year integrating True Sky’s systems and operations.
